The Man Who Sold The World

We passed upon the stair, we spoke of was and when
Although I wasn't there, he said I was his friend
Which came as some surprise I spoke into his eye
I though you died alone, a long long time ago

Oh no, not me
I never lost control
You're face to face
With the man who sold the world

(Guitar solo)

I laughed and shook his hand, made my way back home
I searched for form and land, for years and years I roamed
I gazed a gazley stare at all the millions here We must have died alone, a long long time ago

Who knows, not me
We never lost control
You're face to face
With the man who sold the world
Who knows, not me
We never lost control
You're face to face
With the man who sold the world

[Applause]
[Kurt:] "That was a David Bowie song."
[Kurt:] "I didn't screw it up, did I?"
[Dave?:] "No."
[Kurt:] "Okay, but here's another one I'm gonna screw up."
[Dave:?] "What is it?"
[Kurt:] "Am I gonna do this by myself?"
[Dave?:] "Yeah, why don't you do it by yourself? Do it by yourself!"
[Kurt:] "Okay, well. I think I'll try it in a different key. I'll try it in a normal key. Yeah. If it sounds bad, these people are just gonna have to wait."
[Laughter]
